How far along: 12 weeks. 3 months pregnant!
How big is baby: The size of a large plum, averaging about 2.1 inches.
Total weight gain: According to the doctors scale, I gained 4 lbs. since week 4.
Maternity Clothes: Nothing yet…I’m looking into getting the belly band soon for my jeans.
Sleep: Every night is different. A lot better as I’m approaching the second trimester; however, depending on what I ate that day, determines how many times I toss and turn and get up to pee because of bloating, pain and constipation pressing on my bladder.
Best moment of the week: Hearing the babes heartbeat today at the doctors! BS is really moving around a lot in there and his/her heart rate is fast and strong. This makes me happier than you could even imagine, just remembering where I was 4 weeks ago.
Food Cravings: I’m just about over the ice cream. I’ve still been diggin’ pickles though. I absolutely LOVE celery and carrots with ranch dressing. Yum! The good news is that I’m starting to bring back my normal diet of fruits, veggies and protein shakes.
Food Aversions: Still whatever I was craving last week (chips and dip). I sorta have a thing against processed food, too.
Symptoms: My face is slowing starting to get better. KEYWORD: Slowly! I think I’ve learned to manage the constipation about 85% of the time with a ridiculous amount of fiber gummies. A woman on a forum I joined told me that it stopped working for her after a while. I hope that is not the case with me. Oh yeah, it’s also best that I don’t eat after 6pm because if I do, I usually toss and turn all night long in pain from gas/bloating.
Mood: Very happy and very grateful. Blessed to be me.
Movement: Just gas pains and bloating that I can feel. The babe is moving around like crazy though. Soon enough I’ll be able to feel those kicks and punches. I can’t wait. I bet it’s a boy. It’s just SO active!
What I’m looking forward to: PERMANENT cold weather. 8 more weeks or so until we find out the sex of the baby.
What I miss: My mom and my father-in-law. I hope they come visit soon.
You can hear my wonderful doctor say “congratulations”. The “bloop” sound is BS moving around, and I laughed because he/she was quite active! The heartbeat was loud and fast. I’m a happy momma to be.
So awesome
Congratulations! I remember the feeling of seeing my son on ultra sound the first time. It was so amazing. Good luck! 🙂
Thank you so much 🙂 It’s a feeling I cannot possibly describe, but you know exactly what I mean.
