This week was hard to get a picture, let alone find the time to post. In the morning before work was the only time that Bobby could take my picture so here I am in my scrubs.
How far along: 13 Weeks. THE SECOND TRIMESTER!
How big is baby: The size of a peach.
Total weight gain: Last time I checked it was 4 lbs. since week 4 but I haven’t got on the scale this week.
Maternity Clothes: Nothing yet but my scrubs tops are a little difficult to remove so I’m thinking I may need to move up a size soon.
Sleep: I can’t complain, compared to the last 3 months. I started working this week. It was only a week of orientation so my hours were 3am to about 5pm. But I’d get home around as late as 6:30pm with traffic. So by the time I got home, I’m was so exhausted that I passed out and slept until my alarm went off again at 3am. I also got really sick after I left work on Monday, on my way home. I had a headache coming on (which I never, ever have), and it got worse and worse to the point I had to run to the toilet and threw up about 6 times. Bobby came home and took care of me. He’s the best husband ever. I still don’t know what was wrong with me, but I was off for about a few days afterwards. It will get better this up-coming week though, because I start my 12 hour shifts by only working 3 days a week with 4 days off in between. This will give me some time to sleep and relax as well as be able to make my husband dinner and go to the gym.
Best moment of the week: Making it to the Second Trimester! And starting my new job. I really like the people and I’m very excited to start on the unit on Monday. Oh yeah, it finally started to get cooler out. It’s a nice 61 degrees at 10:00am today.
Food Cravings: I am sort of back to normal with my yogurt, hard boiled eggs, celery, carrots and cucumbers to munch on. I eat cheese and crackers and tapioca pudding as well. These are things I take to lunch with me because they are easy and hold me over. Being celiac sucks when you have to pack your lunch.
Food Aversions: I’m over the pickles. No more sweets. Ice cream grosses me out and processed foods.
Symptoms: My face is still slowing starting to get better. I’ve been constipated ALL week because I had to take Zofran three days in a row because of the vomiting on Monday. That stuff works like a charm but it does be no favors for my GI system. Oh yeah, the ligament pain started this week. And it is AWFUL!
Mood: Very happy, grateful and feel lucky and blessed to be working where I do.
Movement: Nothing yet. I can’t wait until I do though.
What I’m looking forward to: Christmas.
What I miss: The gym and my “go, go, go, go, go” energy.
Look at the little bump!!! 🙂
It’s poppin’ out 😉
