How far along: 19 Weeks.
How big is baby: Baby Sock is about 10 oz, 8 inches long. The size of a large heirloom tomato.
Total weight gain: 18 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: Yes!
Sleep: Unless I’m absolutely exhausted, I sleep like crap. I am struggling with back pain. But these last few weeks have been so busy for us and I’ve been non-stop doing something! I know I need to rest more, but the duties of my daily life just never end.
Best moment of the week: Thanksgiving. Bobby and I baked all day Wednesday and made pumpkin pie, carrot cake with homemade cream cheese frosting, chocolate chip cookies, and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. All of which either haven’t been touched yet or waiting to be dug into. I also made us Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. Bobby helped me handle and pick up the turkey, and I made everything else. All from scratch and homemade: green bean casserole (which was absolutely fantastic!). Since the onions on the top of your typical green bean casserole contain gluten, I made homemade fried onions on the stove. Super easy and so so tasty (recipe on my Pinterest). I also made stuffing (with gluten free bread), cranberry sauce, corn (frozen), garlic mashed potatoes and my mom’s famous gravy she taught me how to make via the phone. The gravy really made our dinner amazing. Nothing better than good gravy!
Food Cravings: Salty foods, soda and sweets still. And pretty much everything else too. Salads, lots of yogurt. I’ve been eating Fritos and bean dip. I’ll eat anything. I’ve got the appetite of a truck driver.
Food Aversions: Nothing really, all I want to do is eat.
Symptoms: Still stuffy, acne, swollen legs/ankles at times, and back pain, leg cramps, stretching and pulling and gas. And I’m pretty sure I have the pregnancy induced carpal tunnel syndrome. My hands ache constantly.
Mood: Thankful, happy and overwhelmed. I feel like I have so much to do and we’re halfway there already. No name picked out, no theme, no colors, nothing. I need to find somewhere to start. Finding out the gender would be a good start.
Movement: I am still feeling the same fluttering, more moving, a little bit more intense than last weeks movement.
What I’m looking forward to: The next ultrasound! And to feel BS kick and move when I look at my belly.
What I miss: My mom.
Happy 19 weeks, almost halfway!!!
Yes! I told myself I’m not picking out or thinking of anything until I know what the baby is. No need to stress when half of the things you’ll pick won’t be necessary anyways, right?
