In just 44 days (or less) Josie will be here. I cannot believe it. Time has flown by so quickly. And today I found myself reminiscing about last summer and our usual May vacation every year. Though, this year, we won’t be going anywhere. Rather, we will be spending time with our baby girl, as new parents, getting into a routine of parenthood. But that doesn’t mean that we won’t eventually go someone this summer (probably closer to the end of summer, that is). I’m not saying we will be hopping on an airplane and go to The Keys (although it is very tempting). But I can see us going on a road trip somewhere here in Texas to do what we love to do most. Kayaking, camping, biking, swimming-anything outdoors.
I must say that we are very excited to bring our little girl into the great outdoors and let her experience all there is to see and do. I just daydream about all the places we can go and all the things that we can do and imagine her little face lighting up during it all. I am so excited for this journey.
In the process of my daydreaming, I was looking at our Key West photos from last May, our photos from my Graduation and our photos from the Dry Tortugas Island we camped on last summer. I wanted to grab just a few and share them-it was the best vacation we have ever been on. The Dry Tortugas is and was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Being able to camp (alone) and snorkel on an island together was probably one of the most romantic, exciting moments Bobby and I ever shared together. It was picture perfect in every way and we will be back one day, that’s for sure. Until then, I’ll just daydream about the beauty we once experienced and imagine all the possibilities we have ahead once Josie welcomes us.
We spent some time in Tampa, went to Sarasota, Siesta Key and St. Pete and Clearwater first. After that, we had my Nursing Pinning and Graduation.
I Graduated with Honors with my Best Friend, Julia at my side.
Then the fun started. We headed to Key West for two weeks.
Your photos are incredible! What amazing memories. Honestly, I am so absolutely excited about introducing Abby to hiking and exploring. I miss being active so much! Oh, to go running right now! Lol. I know it will still be a while for both of us, but we can dream 🙂
