How far along: 36 weeks.
How big is baby: She is 6+ lbs. My belly is measuring at 37 cm’s. It’s always been 1 cm ahead.
Total weight gain: 37 lbs. in total. But I have been stuck at 147lbs. for 4 weeks now. Although she may be gaining, it looks like I’m losing.
Maternity Clothes: Yes.
Sleep: Still have leg cramping pain that turns into numbness and tingling into my right side (leg, arm and hand), I can’t lay on it longer than an hour on each side. Hip pain, back pain. And getting up peeing every single hour on the dot.
Best moment of the week: We did more maternity photos! And they are really, really great. I can’t wait to post next week! Besides that, it has been a rough week. Kitty was pooping blood (I had to take her back to the vet), Josie is not moving down into my pelvis (-3 station, no engagement) as much as I thought. I’m 3 cm’s but her head is too high. My doctor said at this point I have a 30-40% chance of having a C-section because I’m too small and too petite. I’m not happy about it and I am fighting for this vaginal birth. I’m doing my research and trying everything I can before those 41 weeks (or before I dilate to 10 cm’s). I’m dilating pretty quickly and not feeling much. Although at the end of this week I did actually start feeling contractions that were irregular. I read that a birthing ball/exercise ball can help bring her down so I went and bought one.
Food Cravings: Eggs over easy (well done), with GF toast with a slice of tomato, oranges, almond butter, blue chips and hummus and chocolate cake.
Food Aversions: Still anything greasy or microwaved.
Symptoms: Sleep is terrible, acne is getting bad again probably because the humidity here is awful and it’s getting hot (not that I’m complaining. I’m ready for the heat), back aches, leg pain, swollen right leg/foot, leg cramps, blurry eyes, dry eyes and peeing a lot. Oh, and my boobs are starting to get really sensitive again.
Mood: I have to be honest and say that I’m a little sad about this progression but still very hopeful and trying to stay as positive as I can for a vaginal delivery.
Movement: Long pressing movements, kicks and a little less hiccups than last week.
What I’m looking forward to: Next appointment to see if Josie has come down a little bit more. Hopefully I’m not too far dilated because my doctor will want to get me into a C-section.
What I miss: Sleep and exercise.

Hi Annie, thank you for your kind words. xox 🙂

Awww thanks Sarah! That means so much. I’m glad you enjoy it. I’m so glad I decided to make it. It will be so much fun showing Josie when she’s grown. I hope you have a great rest of your week. Take care. xoxo 🙂
I would love to send you this article which is scientifically based about delivering vaginally . It is a recommendation by your doctor that you do not have to take . I am in the same boat and have declined the csection !!! There is no women who is too small to birth a baby !
Awww! Please! Send it. I’m researching and reading as much as I can. My email is Stacy.sock@gmail.com. Thanks girlie. I’ve got my fingers crossed. Xoxo
You look fabulous! And, I’m amazed that you are already 3 cm! Wow! Last week, I wasn’t even at a 1, which scares me a bit since I’m being induced this coming Friday. Hopefully, Josie engages and you don’t have to worry about C-section at this point. How are you feeling not working? I have two more days of teaching, and I’m so distracted and ready to just plan and prepare for Abby. I’ve had a pretty emotional week. I don’t know about you, but the hormones seem to be hitting hard right now.
