Josie Has a New Babysitter

It’s a tough task…finding a good babysitter. People can tell you what they can do and what they’re about and where they have been and what they have done, etc. You get my point. But to actually prove it is another. And with Shantel, she goes way above and beyond. And I love her to death. She is amazing, patient, kind and loving. She truly treats Josie like her own. And she is such a great friend. She has a beautiful, smart daughter who plays wonderfully with Josie, too. We were on the hunt for a perfect fit. Interview after interview after interview, she sent me a message late at night on the very last night of our search and I quickly responded “can you come over in the morning?” We were desperate. We weren’t happy with any of the people we interviewed. It’s not that we didn’t “like them” we just didn’t think they were the right fit. It’s like a piece in the puzzle. And Shantel fit perfectly. We immediately knew when we were interviewing her that we wanted her and we were willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen and to make her happy in this choice as well. God seriously looked out for us. He told us to be patient.

We feel incredibly blessed.

She is so careful with Josie’s allergies. She has taught her so much. And continues to teach her. She plays with her, reads to her, interacts with her and even got her to eat several foods even I couldn’t get her to eat. Not to mention her daughter is a great role model and Josie tends to watch every move she makes. She is a fantastic mother and I look up to her. We am so beyond grateful she is in our lives and she is the one taking care of our Josie while Bobby is away. We honestly couldn’t find a better fit. I trust her 110% and never feel like I need to “look at the cameras” throughout the house.
