How far along: 37 weeks.
How big is baby: Baby Josie Rosie is 6lbs. 11 oz.
Total weight gain: Start: 106 lbs. End: 148.2, Total weight gain: 42.2lbs.
Maternity Clothes: Yes, and I wore them home from the hospital as well.
Sleep: At the beginning of the week it was still rough with leg cramping right side swelling hip pain, back pain and Braxton Hicks contractions (which I thought were BH). And obviously getting up peeing every single hour.
Best moment of the week: Josephine Rose Sock welcomed us on April 7th, 2014.
Food Cravings: Eggs over easy (well done), with GF toast with a slice of tomato, oranges, chocolate and chocolate cake.
Food Aversions: Still anything greasy or microwaved.
Symptoms: Sleep is terrible, back aches, leg pain, swollen right leg/foot, leg cramps, blurry eyes, dry eyes and peeing a lot and sensitive boobs.
Mood: I am so in love, so blessed, so exhausted, so emotional. There really aren’t words for how I am feeling. There will be more on this on a future blog post.
Movement: Lots of kicks and flips, I can feel her hands, feet and nails.
What I’m looking forward to: Coming home with our daughter.
What I miss: Being pregnant. But nothing compares to this amazing feeling of becoming a mother.
Side Note: no one told me that I would puff up like the marshmallow man after labor. So please excuse the swollen self portrait above.
I can’t remember what I gained with my 3rd child, but I know after I had her June 16,2012 on her due date :), she weighed in at 10lbs.8oz. No gestational diabetes or c section either. Epidural was a must, seeing I hate pain at any level. I did have my tubes tied and a umbilical hernia fixed the day after. Anyways, speaking of becoming a Marshmallow Man after birth…..that was me too. I lost 10lbs.8oz from the baby plus all the weight from everything else, but gained 10lbs.8oz back in 2 days from all the fluids they gave me in surgery ect. I was so upset. Little did I know…..1 week later I lost all of that weight and an additional 10lbs. Boy was I elated, down to 145 lbs which was 10 lbs less than my pre pregnancy weight. 🙂
So I’m sure if you haven’t already lost it, you will especially seeing that you eat healthy and exercise. I have to find motivation very soon because I’ve keep going up and down with my weight and I feel horrible which I know is from no exercise and what I eat.
I love following your blog. It keep me encoraged. Best you to and your family. 🙂
