20 Weeks Pregnant

20 Weeks Pregnant 1

How far along: 20 Weeks. Halfway there!

How big is baby: About the size of a banana or as little Nick would say “Noni”

Total weight gain: 19 lbs. No stretch marks yet, but I’m sure they’re coming.

Maternity Clothes: Yes! But still wearing smalls in shirts and my pants are smalls.  Although, I had to purchase new scrubs for work this week.  They were getting too tight.  Oh, and some compression socks.  I’m a lot tinier than I look in this photo. I get tired of people telling me that I don’t look pregnant (at work).  I mean seriously people…look at me.  I’m ALL belly.  My booty is disappearing and my thighs are still the same size and firm (thank goodness for my hard work and dedication working out before I got pregnant.  Some of my muscles are still tight and firm.).

Sleep:  Unless I’m absolutely exhausted, I still sleep like crap.  It is usually the back pain or the pressure on my bladder.

Best moment of the week:  It’s finally December!  25 Days of Christmas! Oh yeah, and the fact that Bobby took it upon himself to research all sorts of baby stuff.  He has even bought our very first baby item: a video baby monitor.  And he bought a few other things too.  I’ll post that later.

Food Cravings:  Salty foods, soda and sweets still.  And still pretty much everything else too.  And lots of yogurt.  I’ll eat anything.  I’ve got the appetite of a truck driver.

Food Aversions: Nothing really, all I want to do is eat.  But body odor is starting to get more intense and sadly starting to gross me out.  Sorry, TMI but I haven’t worn deodorant in months and I really don’t want to have to start again.

Symptoms:  Still stuffy, acne really bad, swollen legs/ankles at times, and back pain, leg cramps, stretching and pulling and gas and bad constipation, pregnancy induced carpal tunnel syndrome and a new itchy rash on my thighs.

Mood: Thankful, happy and overwhelmed.  Very busy with work lately.

Movement: I am still feeling the same fluttering, more moving, a little bit more intense than last week’s movement. And it feels like blowing of bubbles in my tummy/pelvic area and sometimes higher up.

What I’m looking forward to:  The next ultrasound!  And Bobby coming back from the oil rig (again). Oh yeah, and my brother coming to visit for Christmas.  I can’t wait to squeeze his little being.

What I miss: My husband, my energy and sleep.
