28 Weeks Pregnant

How far along: 28 Weeks. The first week of the Third Trimester!

How big is baby: About the size of an eggplant. She now has eye lashes and blinks her eyes! They say that she may be able to see the light that filters in through my womb. I find that to most likely to be true because she will kick, move, punch-whatever all the time but when I lift my shirt up and expose her to light, she stops. Silly girl.

Total weight gain: 26 lbs. total.

Maternity Clothes: Yes-clearance Target shirt in this photo.

Sleep: Nothing new to report: I sleep best when I’m exhausted.

Best moment of the week:  Bobby drilling first oil on the oil rig (very good for his career), talking and catching up with an old friend on the phone from Michigan, ordering my nursing chair for her nursery and putting together the last of Josie’s nursery.

Food Cravings:  Still fish.

Food Aversions: Still anything that was/is frozen that needs to be microwaved.

Symptoms:  The itchy burning rash (waiting for my blood results back from the doctor), the acne (although it’s much better), backaches, swollen legs after work, tingling in my hands and feet and itchy dry skin.

Mood: Very, very happy.

Movement: Lots and lots of movement this week. I watched her completely move in a circle. At least that is what I think she did because it was a pretty intense movement, only one time and that was today.

What I’m looking forward to:  My mom coming to Texas, seeing all my family and friends and hugging my husband when he gets home from New Orleans tonight.

What I miss: Warm weather! I am over this super dry weather.
