Josephine’s Nursery-A Beginning, But Not Yet Finished…

I have been so anxious to share with you all our hard work we have put into her nursery. It was only 5 weeks ago that we were putting together her crib.

Putting Crib Together

And since then I’ve been painting, embellishing and putting together all the little bits and pieces that make her nursery so special to me and to us. Although it is not complete, (we are still waiting on a few more deliveries from Etsy), I still am so much in love with the way it has all turned out. Just last night we received my rocker/recliner/glider (thanks to my sister-in-law, Jennifer’s recommendations) and I absolutely love it. Thanks Jen!

Check out these shots, tell me what you y’all think.

  1. Absolutely beautiful..You should’ve been an interior decorator..lol!! It looks like photos out of a magazine..I love everything about it! xoxo

  2. I love how similar our tastes are! I’ll be posting soon (even though the nursery is not quite done), but a lot of our declarations are so similar! I love hobby lobby! You are still looking fabulous by the way. I would never guess how much weight you have gained. Your body must have needed it, because it agrees with you 🙂

    1. Awww I can’t wait to see Abby’s! 🙂 I’ve still got some work to do too, and I’ll be taking a video when it’s complete and posting it. I think my family can get a better idea if it’s in a video rather than photos, ya know? I’m obsessed with Hobby Lobby. And Home Goods. It’s sorta a problem. Bobby says when I’m home with Josie that I should open my own Esty shop and make something. I haven’t decided what yet but I think that may be a fun idea (if I’ve got the time). Thanks for your nice comments by the way. I don’t feel “fat” at all. I was very ill after I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and it was VERY hard to gain weight. And on top of that I was very active, ran almost every day 5-10 miles and did weight training. My workout routine consists of about 3+ hours a day. I just loved being fit and it was the only thing that helped keep my anxiety at bay (especially during nursing school). So after I was diagnosed I had doctors and nutritionists tell me I needed to gain weight but I think it was my mix of eating good (absolutely no processed foods), running and weight training that had be at a set weight. I knew that I needed the weight and I think Josie saved me. I hope I actually keep some of it on after she’s born. We are trying again in January for Baby #2! 🙂 Anyway, I’ll stop rambling. I hope you’re feeling better. Is your doctor still planning on having Abby welcome the world early? I bet you’re so excited to meet your little love. I bet she is just so so so so beautiful! I hope you’re feeling good lil mommy. xoxo:)

  3. Wow, that is really amazing! I’m 38 weeks today and my boys nursery isn’t finished yet! I’m really struggling to decide what to do (boy nurseries are so difficult I’m finding!), so I’ll just leave as it is for now 🙂 I love all your DIY that you’ve done, it’s always a lot of fun 🙂

    1. I had my entire room design picked out for a boy before we were told it was a girl. And since I did that, I have it already pretty much done if our next baby is a boy. Check out my Pinterest Board: “It’s a Boy”, maybe you can get some ideas from that. Either way, I bet it will all come together just beautifully. Good luck and thanks for the nice comments. xoxo 🙂

      1. Thanks so much, have checked out your It’s a Boy Pinterest board and so many cool ideas. Repinned a few. I also love the forest themed influences 🙂 Take care x

      2. Yes, I love it. I hope our next is a girl for the sake of little Josie but then we hope for a boy afterwards. At least 3 but maybe 4. 🙂 hehe
